orn August 12, 1984 in the great parish of Manchester, Sherone Simpson is truly a Jamaican success story. After graduating from Manchester High School, Sherone enrolled at the University of Technology (UTech) to major in Hotel Tourism and Management. Before joining MVP Track Club, Sherone was a fourth string athlete among Jamaica’s junior sprinters but had a breakout year after joining the Stephen Francis club.

Simpson, ran 12.54 in 2000, but entered MVP/UTech as an 11.37 athlete in 2004, and raced up the ranks of Jamaica’s sprinting. In six years, she moved from ‘nowhere’ to become Jamaica’s second fastest woman, improving by 1.72 seconds to a career best of 10.82 seconds, second only to the Great Merlene Ottey (10.74).

Simpson made a name for herself at the 2002 World Junior Championships after giving Jamaica a tremendous start in the women’s 4x100m relay.

The Jamaica national football team, nicknamed the "Reggae Boyz", represents Jamaica in men's international football. The team's first match was against Haiti in 1925.
The Jamaica Football Association was founded 1910 and in 1965 changed its name to the Jamaica Football
Federation (JFF). The structure consists of Parish Associations and Minor Associations, which control football
on behalf of the JFF in their respective areas.
Our mission is to be a professional and socially impactful organisation through winning performance on and off
the field.
The JFF is the governing body of Jamaica’s football program. It is in charge of all the Jamaican National football
teams and the Jamaica National Premier League. Today, the JFF seeks to prepare all twelve (12) National teams
for qualifications to Global Tournaments with specific focus on the World Cup and Olympic Games.
